About the Play

A deadly storm leaves Viola shipwrecked on the shores of Illyria, far away from her homeland of Messaline. Unsure of her brother's survival and alone in an unfamiliar country -- her mother and father died long ago -- Viola decides to disguise herself as a boy and apply as a manservant to the local Count Orsino so she can make some cash while she figures out the next chapter of her life. Orsino loves music and a woman named Olivia (whose brother and parents are also dead). What happens next must be seen and heard to be believed and understood!

"My master loves her dearly ... And I, poor monster, fond as much on him ... And she, mistaken, seems to dote on me. What will become of this?"
